Hypersensitive HVAC Units

Anyone managing a building with rooftop HVAC compressors probably knows their quality has fallen markedly over the last few years. Allegedly in a move toward energy efficiency, the components in newer units just don’t have the tensile strength of yesteryear.

The fact is, these new units are hypersensitive to the sort of dust and debris that a roofer will kick up when making roof repairs.

Be aware of this the next time you – or a neighbor – schedules any work near these delicate little buggers.
